When I talk about my books I talk about how they are children's picture books about birds. Some people may misunderstand when I say they are about birds. My books are stories in which the characters are the birds, but in real life the birds represent people. I use the birds to tell the stories because I believe that children can understand what is facing them both inside and outside of their homes. There are many, many topics and subjects children may question, but either don't know how to ask the question or don't think about asking a question. They just accept it as a way of life. My books approach different subjects in a way children can understand and, if necessary, know how to ask questions. Parents too can learn from these books. They may want to talk to their child about a subject but just don't know how or where to begin. My books give them a way to talk about these major issues and finding a way to answer life's challenges facing our children.
If anyone has any subjects they think would be one that needs to be written about, please email me and let me know.
